Dalai Lama Visits Westminster AbbeyThe Dalai Lama visited the Westminster Abbey on 20th June 2012 where the Dean of Westminster the Very Rev. Dr John Hall held a service of Prayer and Reflection in his honour. Dr Hall introduced various faiths representatives to the Dalai Lama and exchanged affectionate and warm greetings.

The Queen's illustrious speech about connecting cultures throughout the Commonwealth set this year's celebrations for what was a very colourful service with some exotic songs and dance routines from across the world.

Council of Dharmic Faiths, CoDF, launched in UKThe first ever Council of Dharmic Faiths, CoDF, was launched in the UK at the House of Commons on 16 May 2011

The Council was formed to unite in spirit the four major faiths of India, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism and the ancient faith of Persia, Zoroastrianism.  Anil Bhanot wrote a discussion paper in 2007 on the ‘Advancement of Dharma’ for all major faith leaders in the UK and this debate led to the idea of a ‘Four Faiths Forum’ for  the Indian faiths.
